Resolved , That the Committee on the Post Office and Post Roads be instructed to inquire into the propriety of discharging Henry Freeman, postmaster at Carnesville, Franklin county, in the state of Georgia, from the payment of a sum of money due to the General Post Office, which sum was (as is alleged by the affidavits of the said Henry Freeman and Ormand Morgan) stolen from the post office at Carnesville, on the night of the 3d March, 1824. |
