- Fred William Klusmeyer was born in Anhausen, Rhineland-Palatinate/Rheinland-Pfalz, Prussia (Germany). 
 
 
He was the son of Henry C. Klusmeyer (Germany) and Wilhelmine ("Minnie") C. Hampalman (Germany).  
 
Fred immigrated to America on the ship "Hermine" from the Port of Bremerhaven, Prussia (Germany) on July 23, 1868, and arrived at the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana on November 16, 1868, at the age of 15, with his parents and siblings. The Klusmeyer family originally migrated up the Mississippi River to the Hermann/Rhineland, Missouri area, where they homesteaded outside of Rhineland, Montgomery County, MO. After marrying in Missouri, and starting his family there, Fred migrated to Caddo County, Oklahoma, homesteading just East of Eakly, where both he and his wife, Carrie, died on their farm.  
 
Married: Carolyn("Carrie")Henrietta Holtman on April 20, 1880 in Hermann, Gasconade County, MO.  
 
They had 8 children together:
